Europe’s off-the-beaten-path destinations

What usually comes to mind whenever Europe comes up? London, Paris, Madrid and Rome — all very popular destinations that attract millions of people all year round. If you travel during the peak months, it’s going to be a really hectic trip. A better alternative is for you to travel to lesser-known destinations in Europe. Most unknown locations often have something wonderful to offer.

Salina, Italy

One of the seven small Aeolian Islands, Salina is the epitome of off the beaten track. Not only is it still unknown to many, it’s only accessible via a helicopter or boat ride. Talk about hard to find, right? But if you really want to be somewhere quiet and peaceful, this is the place to be.
