Van Gogh Museum | Amsterdam

The Van Gogh Museum is an art museum in the city of Amsterdam, which boasts the largest collection of paintings by the famous, Dutch painter worldwide. After the recent renovation reopened its doors to the public, with a portrait of Van Gogh is arguably the most popular table. The museum opened an exhibition, showing the discoveries made on the work of the great painter, during a program that lasted eight long years.

Through the Van Gogh at work exhibition, the visitor sees how the painter learned the art from the early experimental works to create famous paintings. This is an overview of the entire project of Van Gogh. The museum’s permanent exhibition includes works by Van Gogh, chronologically, from the period of puberty until the end of his life.

The tables stand also included a version of the famous Sunflowers. The museum also has a library of material relating to the life and work of the great painter.

Alongside it hosted projects and other major artists as Edouard Manet, by Paul Gauguin, and a sculpture by Auguste Rodin. The museum consists of two buildings, combining Western and Eastern architectural style.
