Tourist destinations in Latin America

The fascination that lies in these exotic tourist attractions is irresistible and a trip to these places can only be described as the experience of a lifetime. From the Andes Mountains and the snow-capped mountains to dense jungles and vast deserts, Latin America does not disappoint those who choose to visit it. Apart from the big cities there are many other attractions that require you attention too.

The most popular tourist attraction in Peru and throughout Latin America today is the Machu Picchu. It was built in 1460 by the Incas but was only discovered in the early 20th century, as the city is well hidden among the mountains of Peru and the Amazon forest. Whether traveling to admire the spectacular views or to feel a bit of ancient history of the Inca civilization you will be equally satisfied. You can go to Machu Picchu by train from Cusco or if you prefer a true adventure hiking is an inexpensive solution for you.

Amazon, Ecuador

Amazon is definitely the most famous ecosystem. It covers 40 % of Latin America and passes through many countries. One of the most famous entrances  is located within the borders of Ecuador, along the capital city of Quito. Of course a trip to the Amazon is not appropriate if you are faint-hearted as it is synonymous to adventure. It’s the place with the greatest variety of flora and fauna in the world and you will have the opportunity to see various species of monkeys and birds to the larger wild mammals and raptors.

Angel Falls, Venezuela

Angel Falls are in the heart of Canaima National Park of Venezuela and placed among the highest waterfalls in the world. The views of the waterfalls are spectacular and they will reward you for the long way you came. Walking up there in the jungle is in itself an adventure between mountains, grasslands, rivers and lagoons.

Torres del Paine, Chile

The Land of Fire is a travel destination that is not for everyone but if you belong to those few who would go there a trip to the national park of Torres del Paine in Patagonia is recommended. Located at the southernmost point of Chile, it is paradise of hiking among glaciers, lakes and snowy mountains. If you are interested in the breathtaking view of it, you can choose to visit it for a day. However if you are very brave there is the choice of the route «W» lasting nine days.
