Kaikyo Akashi, Japan

It is the bridge with the larger central opening of each suspension bridge in the world. The central opening, the length of the roadway between two towers, has a length of 1.991 meters and a total length of the bridge reaches 3,911 meters. Completed in 1998 and is an engineering marvel, as in stormy winds blow and there is intense seismic activity. Organized tours on top of one of the towers of the view from above to breathtaking.

Located in Villeneuve sur Lot over the river Lot is the bridge with the longest stone arch opening, with length of 96 meters. It was built between 1914-1919.
