Baixa

In Baixa dominates the ROSSIO square. Extensive and lively, embellished with the National Theatre of the city, the train station, the fountain, the cobblestone streets, quaint cafes offering traditional Bica coffee and tasty pastries. From the ROSSIO square starts Street Augusta. It is the busiest street with hundreds of shops, international fashion houses and large delegations. It is a long pedestrian street leading through archway Square Trade, which opened in the river. The dock of the square was used to unload ship merchandise from the colonies. From here the city looks magnificent with the Castle of St. George crowning the city, built on the east hill of the center.

Traditional restaurants (CERVEZARIA)

In traditional restaurants and pubs of Lisbon apart from the magnificent Portuguese wine and cold beer, there is amazing food waiting to be savored. Based on seafood, shrimp and clams, they prepare the most popular dishes. Cod fish and sardines dominate since the Atlantic offers them in abundance. The visitor should follow the ritual of the meal until dessert and coffee as every Portuguese does.
