Enjoy More of Stargazing in These Places

Stargazing is free. What you see at home is almost likely to be the same thing that you will see in the next state. Well, not exactly. With other cities more industrialized than others, it is possible that the skies are no longer as clear, making stargazing a hazy affair.

So if you really want to see stars in all their glory, you might want to travel to these places.

Imagine that! Not only is Hawaii famous for its gorgeous beaches, astounding resorts and fascinating attractions, it is also a great place for stargazing. Because of its location in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, pollution hasn’t done much damage to the Hawaiian skies yet. What is even better is that the best view can be enjoyed in some of the most wonderful places in Hawaii, in the Keck Observatory at the volcano of Mauna Kea on the Big Island.

It’s just not fair how some places have the best of both the natural and outside world, right? In the islands of the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Barbados and St. Vincent, you will enjoy an unobstructed view of the night sky and all its glittering jewels. Oh, did we mention that the best view can be seen in the middle of the sea? No stargazing can be greater than this.

Need another reason to visit the Atacama Desert in Chile? It is one of the best places for stargazing. This should be reason enough. As the desert with the highest altitude on Earth, there is little doubt that you can watch the stars without any interruption. And when the sun comes up, you can enjoy the desert view.

New South Wales, Australia

If you were to choose just one specific place to visit for stargazing, this is the place to be. Here, you don’t need to go looking for a nice spot to set up your telescope because the location is equipped with observation facilities owned by the local astronomy society.
